The reduction of carbon use and emissions is at the very heart of what Carbon Leapfrog is designed to deliver; however, all our projects also deliver enormous social impacts and produce verifiable ‘multiplier effects’.
Many of our projects were instigated by collective concern over Carbon Reduction but have become vehicles for social change, collective action and social equity.
Community energy projects in particular act as catalysts for engaging people and have the ability to reach deep into communities, increasing levels of social cohesion and dialogue and changing attitudes both in relation to energy and the environment, but also in relation to wider social issues such as, fuel poverty, education or employment.
